Weapons are tools for attacking other crew members or for assisting you in combat during expeditions.

This page summarizes the effects of the different weapons; consult the dedicated pages for more details.

  • This is an aggressive action, therefore it's affected by Ian's Pacifist status and/or the Bodyguard skill. It is also impossible to perform in the room where a Diplomat declares a ceasefire .

By default, each passenger can attack with their bare hands , which inflicts between 1 and 3 damage.

  • Solid and Wrestler allow you to do more damage.
  • Without them, you have less than a 50% chance of killing a teammate with 12:pa:, because you will do an average of 1:hp: damage per hit (meh).

Handheld Weapons

The Knife is a more effective alternative to fists for crewmates who are neither Tough nor Wrestler .

  • On average, each hit will inflict 1.5:hp: damage. There is also a low chance of a fatal hit is also a plus.
  • However, you have a chance of injury or dropping the knife if you land a critical failure.

The grenade, on the other hand, is a veritable one-time-use weapon of mass murder. Moreover, it's impossible to miss when throwing it.

  • It inflicts between 2 and 8:hp: damage on crewmates present (but also risks injuring its' thrower).
  • It can also damage existing equipment.

Firearms

Firearms all have a chance to kill your target instantly on a critical hit, but also to injure you.

  • They have a fixed number of charges, which does not allow them to be used at will.
  • It is possible to use them to kill Schrödinger, except using the Rocket Launcher.

Blasters are always present on board and very useful if you know how to use them .

  • Without special abilities, they will be ineffective, inflicting an average of 1.3:hp: damage per hit, and having a higher probability of injury to the attacker. It will take you an average of 11 hits to single-handedly kill a crewmate.
  • However, if you are a Shooter with good accuracy (for example, thanks to an NCC Lens), each shot will inflict an average of 1.9:hp: damage with a chance of either being lethal or causing a wound. This means that an average of 8 hits are needed to kill a crewmate single-handedly.

The Natamy, once the associated research is completed, is an improved version of the Blaster.

  • It will inflict double damage to Mushs, useful in case of advanced contamination. Icon Warning: Natamy tests are still prohibited by the rules.
  • It will almost always inflict damage on all its targets. In the event of a critical hit, it can also inflict more damage.

The Lizaro Jungle is much more reliable to use, with its base accuracy of 99%.

  • It almost guarantees to inflict one injury on your target, as well as 3:hp: damage.
  • Although useful in combat, its single charge makes it situational. Crews more often choose to mount it and then dismount it, as it allows you to obtain a Thick Tube.
  • On average, it will take 5 hits to kill your target.

The Machine Gun, on the other hand, allows for the infliction of numerous wounds despite its accuracy being equivalent to that of the blaster.

Finally, the Rocket Launcher is the most badass of them all. It's recommended not to let it fall into the wrong hands...

  • It affects all teammates in the room, inflicts injuries, and can even break equipment.
  • However, it has a chance of inflicting heavy damage on the shooter in case of critical hits, so be careful of your own :hp: when using it.
  • This is the weapon with the highest chance (13% if the shot is successful) of killing your target in 1 shot.

On expedition

All weapons offer a combat bonus in expeditions, which is very useful in the absence of a Diplomat.

  • If the person carrying the weapon is a Shooter, that person will have a +1 bonus in combat (not cumulative, 1 blaster and 1 lizaro carried do not give +2).
  • If the CENTAURI Rebel base is decoded, Blasters gain a +2 bonus.
  • A grenade used in combat is consumed (this only happens if the group's strength is insufficient for the fight). It will reward you with a pictogram.
