The Command Terminal

The Command Terminal, located on the Bridge, is used to move the Daedalus.

Access

The Command Terminal can only be accessed by the  Commander.

  • Access can also be forced by anyone with the Hacker Kit Hacker Kit.
  • The user need not be clean to use the terminal's functions.

Moving the Ship

Action Point Change Heading changes the direction the ship is facing.

  • Each turn rotates the ship by ninety degrees. (For example, if the ship is facing North, after turning, it will face either East or West.)
  • Turning becomes impossible if the ship's lateral reactors are broken.

Action Point Advance moves the ship forward.

  • To move the ship, Fuel Fuel must be loaded into the Combustion Chamber.
    • Upon moving, all Fuel in the Combustion Chamber will be consumed.
  • The ship cannot move if the emergency reactor is broken, or if an Arack is present outside.
  • If a planet has been discovered with the AstroTerminal, this action can be used to move the ship into orbit.
    • To move to a planet, the ship must be facing the right direction and the correct amount of Fuel must be loaded in the Combustion Chamber.
    • Once the ship moves, all scanned planets (other than the one traveled to) are deleted permanently. Coordinate with your crew to make sure you don't lose valuable planets!
  • If the ship is already orbiting a planet, using this action will move the ship out of orbit.
    • Only 1 Fuel is required to leave orbit.

When the ship moves, anyone not aboard the ship (e.g. in Patrollers, the Pasiphae, or exploring planets with the Icarus) will immediately be killed. (Associated death: Abandoned.) Make sure you communicate with the crew before moving!

General Information

The "General Information" section provides information about the game's difficulty.

  • During days 1-4, the Daedalus travels in Near Space. Difficulty increases normally.
  • Between days 5-9, the Daedalus travels in Far Space. Difficulty increases more quickly, and new Hunters begin to appear.
  • After day 10, the Daedalus travels in Infinite Space. Difficulty increases very quickly, and the powerful D1000 can appear.

The game's difficulty affects the number of Hazards and Hunters encountered.
