Spores are a tool unique to the
Mush that allow them to infect and convert humans.
For Humans
The number of
Spores on a
human indicates their contamination level.
- When a human is contaminated with a
by any means, the spore attaches to them and is visible to all
Mush. Their contamination is also announced in the Mush channel. - A human's contamination level is invisible to them. However, they can privately view their contamination level with the
Mycoscan if it has been researched.
When a human is infected with 3
, they will be converted into a
Mush! (This is raised to 4
with
Mushivore Bacteria.)
A human can receive spores through the following means:
- Being Spiked by a
Mush - Eating food contaminated by
Fungal Kitchen - Doing the thing with a
Mush carrying a spore - Being scratched by an infected
Schrödinger - Triggering a trap set by a
Trapper - Being affected by the Mush Trap event in a
Cristalite zone
A human can remove spores by:
- Using the
Spore Sucker (if the
Spore Sucker has been researched) - Using the
Super Soaper (if the
Super Soaper has been researched) - Being healed by a
Mycologist - If you are targeted with
Transfer, your new body will be spore-free.[1]
For Mushs
The
Mush carry spores on their person (separate from their normal inventory).
- The Mush can obtain spores by using the action.
- The only other way to obtain spores is to be the target of a Mush Trap event in a
Cristalite zone.
