You'll never get dirty again when doing your dirty deeds.

An old, tired-looking apron bearing the message: "Best engineer of my heart". Nobody knows who brought it, but it is useful...

The Stainproof Apron protects against most (but not all) ways to get Dirty. This makes it invaluable in Research.

  • To benefit from the apron, you must pick it up and hold it in your inventory while performing the potentially-dirtying action.
  • While wearing the apron, any action which would have otherwise made you dirty will display the following private log:
    • Disgusting... Fortunately you are wearing your Stainproof Apron...

This is a critical item, meaning humans are not allowed to take it on Patrollers or on Expeditions. If you attempt to do this, NERON will force you to drop the item on the shelf of the room you took off from. Additionally, the item will be dropped if the character holding it gains the Highly Inactive status.
