The microwave allows crewmembers to cook food quickly and efficiently. However, we can't be entirely sure how safe it is.

The Microwave provides the Express Cook action which allows you to turn Standard Rations into Cooked Rations for free.

• However, each use of the Microwave has a 30% chance of breaking the ship's connection with Sol. Using it is not recommended unless the connection is already down.
• Because of its potential for disruption, the microwave is sometimes dismantled by a Technician to keep others from using it.

Express Cook does not alter the food decomposition process: food that has partially decomposed will remain decomposed after cooking.
