* Certain [[skills]], character traits, and {{Disease|Diseases}} can positively or negatively affect {{AP}} regeneration.
* You can regain extra {{AP}} by eating {{Item|Rations|16}} or taking certain {{Item|Drugs|16}}.
* Accepting a mission from the {{Title|Commander}} allows you to regain 3 {{AP}} (or 6 {{AP}} if you have the {{Skill|Devotion}} skill).

  • The Action Point cost of certain actions can be reduced or increased with certain items, certain character traits, or certain skills.
  • The default Action Point maximum is 12. It can be increased with the LethargyLethargy skill or the icon Noise Reducer NERON project.

Obtaining AP

Each character regenerates 1 Action Point at the start of every cycle.

  • If a character is lying on a bed or sofa during cycle change, they regenerate an additional Action Point. Icon Chao's Hyperactive Hyperactive trait prevents him from benefiting from beds.

  • You can regain extra Action Point by eating Rations Rations or taking certain Drugs Drugs.
  • Accepting a mission from the  Commander allows you to regain 3 Action Point (or 6 Action Point if you have the DevotionDevotion skill).

AP and Game Difficulty

The game's difficulty is partially tied to the number of Action Point spent during a cycle. The more Action Point is spent, the more difficult the game becomes (via the appearance of extra Hazards and Hunters), and vice versa. This is meant to ensure that the game does not become overly difficult for crews with several Inactive players.

  • Special action points count as the action for which they are used.
  • It is therefore recommended not to spend too many Action Point on actions of little use, such as attempting to solve the MAD Kube MAD Kube or moving pointlessly around the ship.

Special Action Points

Some actions can be performed using special action points in lieu of Action Point. These special points are earned through certain associated skills.

A point is spent when performing certain actions related to the associated skill. Special action points take priority and will always be spent before generic Action Point, helping your character perform more actions before needing to rest. The maximum limit for special action points is equal to (# of points earned daily) * 2.
