Inactive players are those who do not log in or participate for long periods of time. These players are marked with the statuses Inactive and Highly Inactive.

  • The Inactive status is obtained if a character's Action Point action point bar is full and if the player has not logged in for at least 8 cycles (24 hours).
  • The Highly Inactive status is obtained if a player has not logged in for at least 16 cycles (48 hours).

These statuses is public, and they can be seen by clicking on the relevant character. The status will disappear if the player reconnects to eMush.

Being inactive is not against the rules. However, inactivity undermines your own team, so try to log in and participate as much as you can!

Effects

The inactive status is visible when clicking on a character.

When a character becomes Inactive, the following effects apply:

  • Passive effects (such as from Mankind's Only Hope Mankind's Only Hope, Logistics ExpertLogistics Expert, or ShrinkShrink) continue to apply.
  • Attacks against the character are 30% more likely to hit.
  • If the character is in a Storage, the  Communications Officer can trade them to merchant ships in exchange for various benefits. (This permanently removes the character from the game.)
  • The character loses any Titles they had.
  • The character loses the Pariah status (from VictimizerVictimizer) if they had it.

When a character becomes Highly Inactive, additional effects apply:

  • The character can be traded from any room, rather than only from a Storage.
  • The character can no longer benefit from Logistics ExpertLogistics Expert.
  • Any critical items carried by the character are dropped.

Icon TODO: English link

If not traded, an inactive human will eventually die from depression (by losing all their Morale), or starvation (by losing all their HP from Hunger). If you want to keep them alive for any reason, you will need to comfort and heal them regularly. An inactive Icon Mush will not suffer from morale loss or hunger, so they will need to be killed.
