The drill lets you recover minerals on expeditions. The drill allows expedition members to get through situations which are on the hard side.

The Drill doubles the amount of Fuel gained during Expeditions. Keeping it on hand is very important in the ship's early days, when fuel is a constant concern.

The Drill affects fuel-gaining events in the following sectors:

• Hydrocarbon Deposits
• Shipwreck
• Caverns
• Mountains
