The extinguisher is the best friend of the crewmember trapped by fire.
The extinguisher is a standard-sized safety device designed to put out fires.

The Extinguisher is a simple yet important item, as fires may break out more often than you'd think!

1  Extinguish (50%) allows you to attempt to put out a fire in the same room as you.

• Success chance increases to 100% if you are a Firefighter.
• A failure will be private, while a success will be public.

This is a critical item, meaning humans are not allowed to take it on Patrollers or on Expeditions. If you attempt to do this, NERON will force you to drop the item on the shelf of the room you took off from. Additionally, the item will be dropped if the character holding it gains the Highly Inactive status.
