Skill Notes
Tracker is Eleesha's most important skill. Between the extra room log info,
THE List, and the expedition utility, it's too good not to take. Be mindful of when you print THE List: it contains the name of one of the two Alpha Mush aboard the ship, among several other names that decrease in number the longer you wait to print it.
Determined is the closest thing that Eleesha has to a combat skill, and it can help when making repairs. However, it is noticeably weak compared to some of the other skills Eleesha has at her disposal.
Observant is very situational. It effectively turns you into a walking
Error: Unrecognized item., making it very risky for Mush to take certain actions around you, and it can help locate hidden items. However, it has virtually no utility outside of the Mush hunt.
IT Expert gives you the equivalent of 4
/day, useful for a wide variety of tasks. It also makes it easier to use the
Hacker Kit when dealing with an uncooperative commander.
Technician is especially useful on long-running ships, when breakages become more and more frequent. It can also be helpful if PILGRED needs to be repaired in an emergency.
Polymath is also fairly situational. On the surface, it appears weaker than some of Eleesha's other skills. However, the extra 2 private channels can make coordinating the Mush hunt much easier, and the skill points (which save you 2
/day) complements IT Expert very effectively.
If Mush
Tracker is so good that not taking it appears very suspicious. Thus, you may want to take it even though its effects are directly harmful to your team. This is not all bad; since
THE List cannot be printed without your intervention, you have control over when it comes into play (unless
Stephen decides to
Apprentice it).
Observant is a pretty bad choice, because it can reveal the Covert actions of your fellow Mush! But there are some niche situations where it might be useful - such as if you're looking for a hidden
Hacker Kit...
IT Expert allows you to appear active without spending too much of your precious
, and it may be useful for sabotaging expeditions using the aforementioned
Hacker Kit.
Technician is a very good skill for Mush, because it allows you to dismantle important objects like the
Error: Unrecognized item..
Warning: These actions will be quickly noticed by the human crew and will make you public enemy number one! Choose the right moment to act.
