Eden
Eden is a planet located somewhere in the Magellan Nebula that is yet untouched by the
Mush. It is orbited by an unusually high concentration of
Cristalite. Locating Eden was the primary goal of the Magellan Project, which sought to resettle humanity onto a new home free from the fungal menace.
Gameplay
To unlock Eden, the following steps must be taken:
1. Obtain starmap fragments
Three
Starmap Fragments are needed to reach Eden. They can only be obtained via Expeditions.
- Starmap fragments are most commonly found in
Cristalite zones (which have a 30% chance of dropping one when visited). - They are also one of several items that can be randomly obtained through Artifact events in the following zones:
Intelligent Life,
Ruins,
Shipwreck,
Caverns, and
Mankarog. - Once the first starmap fragment is found, all crewmates gain 6
.
2. Research

Placing a
Starmap Fragment in the Laboratory unlocks the
Super Calculator research project.
- Once finished, the Super Calculator equipment becomes available in the Nexus.
- The research can be finished even if the crew lacks all three required fragments.
3. Calculate coordinates

Once all three
Starmap Fragments are collected, they must be dropped in the Nexus. At this point, the action becomes available via the Super Calculator.
4. Travel to Eden
After calculating Eden's position, the action becomes available in the Command Terminal. (Thus, it can only be done by the
Commander or by a crewmate with the
Hacker Kit.)
- Traveling to Eden will immediately end the game.
- If everyone aboard the ship is human, then all living crewmates will attain the human victory condition:
The Daedalus has settled on Eden!
- However, if any
Mush are still alive, the crew will instead attain the mush victory condition:
The Mush infected Eden!
| Reaching Eden is a difficult achievement that requires lots of time, energy, and good luck. If you've made it this far, congratulations! |
