Tips
- By default, you are the ship's NERON administrator. Remember to adjust the BIOS settings via the terminal in the Nexus.

- If you take
Diplomat, expect to become a regular part of expedition crews. You may also be needed on the Bridge when making trades.
Skill Notes
Shrink is essential for Janice, and is by far her most important skill. Without it, the crew will greatly struggle to maintain their morale, and they will have no reliable way to cure disorders. Always take this!
IT Expert saves Janice up to 4
/day, allowing her to more efficiently participate in Research and Projects. It also makes it easier to use the
Hacker Kit when dealing with an uncooperative Commander.
NERON's Only Friend appears good on the surface, but the
it saves is overall negligible compared to IT Expert.
Diplomat is very important on expeditions, as it helps guarantee good results in certain zones. It is especially good when searching for Eden, as it increases the chances of finding a
Starmap Fragment in Crystalite zones. Finally, your ceasefire ability can be an excellent defense against a rampaging
Mush.
Radio Expert is not very useful for you. You should mainly be staying in the dormitories and the Nexus, not the Bridge.
Self-sacrifice, while useful, is extremely situational and shouldn't be prioritized over better skills.
Recommendation:
If Mush
- A Mush Janice may have a hard time managing her AP, since she's not prioritized to get a bed. However, since you're expected to move back and forth between the dormitories to provide your passive morale bonus, you'll have good opportunities to sneakily extract spores.
Fertile and
Splashproof may help you out here.
- Watch out for
Chao or
Andie, who may get suspicious if you move between showers too often.
- When you move around the ship to Comfort people, you may find good opportunities to use other methods of contamination (like
Trapper and
Fungal Kitchen).
- If you end up in a crowded room, cause confusion and act in the shadows with
Defacer or
Ninja. Coordinate with the other
Mush for maximum impact!
