Summary

Hua may be specialized as a pilot, but her varied skillset lets her help the crew in many situations. She can take down hunters, lead down expeditions, take care of plants, or be a maintenance technician without problem. Consult with your teammates to help decide which specialty to focus on when picking your skills.

Specialist in approach missions to unknown planets, Hua can land on pretty much any surface in any conditions. She was aboard the Epygron, the first exploration vessel to encounter extra-terrestrial life.

Pilot	Never causes accidents when using any ship. Doubles the chances of hitting Hunters when using patrol ships. Is not blocked by NERON's pilot lock.	Yes
Botanist	Gain 2 per day, which can be used to treat Plants. You can see the growth status of plants and read the properties of fruits. You can graft fruits. During expeditions, Harvest events provides an additional fruit.
Survivalist	While on expeditions, all damage is reduced by one point. The Provision event provides an additional Alien Steak. You are the last to die if a fatality occurs from an instant-death event.
Technician	Gain 1 per day which allow you to perform repairs for free. Greatly increases your chances of performing successful repairs and allows you to dismantle and reinforce certain objects. Grants extra efficiency (+4-6%) to PILGRED repairs.
Determined	If an action fails, the subsequent probability of success increases more rapidly.
U-Turn	While on expeditions, allows you to see the upcoming sector. For 2, you can immediately end the expedition and return to the Daedalus (assuming you are participating in the expedition and are not lost).

Tips

• Coordinate with other pilots (such as Roland and Terrence) to organize killing Hunters and collecting scrap.

• Make yourself available to lead expeditions, especially if you have Survivalist and the very-useful U-Turn.
• Both piloting taking part in expeditions are very -intensive, so make sure you get a bed!

Skill Notes

• Pilot is essential for Hua, and she is generally expected to take it. Without it, she cannot effectively fight hunters or explore planets. Keep in mind that piloting costs a lot of !
• Botanist allows you to assist Ian in managing plants, or to replace him entirely if he is dead or Inactive. Useful on expeditions.
• Survivalist is also useful on expeditions, and helps keep you alive (at the expense of your teammates). However, it may be overall more useful to avoid danger entirely by using U-Turn.
• Technician is especially useful on long-running ships, when breakages become more and more frequent. It can also be helpful if PILGRED needs to be repaired in an emergency.
• Determined combines well with Pilot or Technician, but it is considered one of Hua's weaker choices.
• U-Turn is invaluable for expeditions. When used correctly, it allows Hua to venture onto even the most dangerous planets. Be warned: it is not entirely risk-free, as it becomes unusable if you are affected by an MIA event.

If Mush

• Contamination:
  • Pilot may be -intensive, but it can make some mush actions easier. Extracting spores in a patrol ship is very hard to detect, and you can make the excuse that eating a ration made you dirty. The Fertile skill can help you out here.
  • Trapper can also be quite useful. You can easily trap the launch bays or Icarus Bay to get spores onto unwary pilots, and there is little chance of Chun removing your traps there.
• Expeditions:
  • Going on expeditions can make you dirty, giving you a chance to extract spores.
  • Be careful with your health: your teammates can see your while on expeditions, and they might notice if you've been damaged suspiciously (e.g. by showering). You can justify this by claiming you were injured while picking up items or making repairs, or you can avoid this entirely by taking Splashproof.
  • If you guarantee yourself a spot on expeditions, you can sabotage them with Traitor. If you have Template:U-Turn, you could justify going to dangerous planets, then fail to use it correctly and kill your human teammates.
• Sabotage important equipment with Saboteur or Green Jelly.
• Blocking: Warning: These actions will be quickly noticed by the human crew and will make you public enemy number one! Choose the right moment to act.
  • Pilot lets you take off while holding essential items, denying them to the human team. If you take off in the Pasiphae with the Medikit and the Mush Genome Disc, you can easily remove them (and yourself) from play.
  • Technician allows you to dismantle important items like the Mush Genome Disc.
